The acoustics are designed with help from my friend Mark at Mark Swanson Guitars. He is a world-class builder and he helped me with all of my acoustics. They use X brace patterns scaled for each top size. They are designed for spruce tops and may need to be altered if you want another top wood.
The J-200 has the shape of the classic Gibson, but the bracing pattern is redesigned to make it sound a little better, a little more balanced. The neck joint is a Cumpiano bolt-on.
The J-45 Round Shoulder Dreadnought was designed using measurements from an actual guitar and uses a dovetail neck joint. The bracing was copied from images taken from inside that guitar.
The generic Dreadnought is just that, and is similar to a Martin. It uses a Cumpiano bolt-on neck joint.
